Elliott Homes: website and content developement
Elliot Homes was a residential development firm based out of the Gulfport area. Focusing specifically on single family homes with a variety of floor plans and customizable furnishings, they required a website that sold not just their homes, but a lifestyle their property developments enabled. Often incorporating green spaces, and parks, in close proximity to beaches and golf courses, Elliott Homes developed hyper localized, family oriented communities. As an Art Director at Sol Design Co., I was responsible for stylizing and developing content for their new site, bringing the wire-frames from the UX designer to life and seeing the project to final publishing.
My goal for the content and design of the website was to humanize it as much as possible. I wanted the users from their target demographic to be able to picture themselves not only in their new Elliott Home experiencing an active, family oriented lifestyle. To achieve this the Creative Director and I developed and directed a photo and video shoot incorporating a model “family” (including the dog) in an actual Elliott Homes development and partaking in typical weekend activities. In addition to the original photographic and video content, I created illustrative motifs to help frame these scenes and create a continuous sense of place and identity across the site.
