One of the gems of Atlanta, The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, needed a method of injecting their website with a little personality outside of photography alone. I was contracted to create a collection of icons that not only functioned as quick visual identifiers for the site users, but also evoked a sense of style and memory by referencing illustrations from the 1960s (the civil rights era.) This idea was very well received as Atlanta is considered the home of the Civil Rights Movement and NCCHR is one of the best institutions devoted to the spirit and work of the movement from then to now. 

Each icon was sketched out by hand and then digitally crafted into fully vectorized and scalable versions for use not just on the website, but in other instututional communications.
